Habitat for Humanity www.ashevillehabitat.org Each year, we participate in numerous workdays to build a “Presbyterian House” with Habitat for Humanity. In 2008, Habitat combined the Presbyterian and Methodist Houses into one build, marking the 17th home for both denominations. The partner family, the Deynegas, moved into the home in December. The 2009 home build will begin on July 7. |
Presbyterian Home for Children (PHFC) www.presbyterianhomeforchildren.orgPHFC serves children ages 5-17 who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. The home, which is located in Black Mountain, North Carolina, provides a safe, supportive, Christian environment for these children. Eleven members of our congregation participated in the Work, Worship, and Play Day on April 4, 2009 and the PW Circle provided 250 sandwiches to feed all the volunteers. | |

North Buncombe Samaritan Ministry (NBSM) www.abccm.org
 |
NBSM is one of the crisis ministry locations of Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) and serves those in the north end of Buncombe County.
The Crisis Ministry provides emergency assistance for individuals and families in crisis by supplying food, clothing, furniture, heating, utility, and rent assistance. | We collect needed, non-perishable items on the last Sunday of each month and deliver the items to NBSM in support of this valuable ministry. |
